The learning curve was steep and it’s been equally rewarding. Thank you so much for being here! It’s so much fun for me and I truly hope that each episode adds value for you on your success journey.

Today’s episode is logged under Grow Confidence In Your Leadership Skills!
I’m sharing the number one question that always stumps my high-achieving, ambitious, life-long-learner, direct sales leaders.
And it’s no accident I paired these two things together for this episode: accomplishing one year with my podcast and this question that stumps the leaders I work with. It’s a big accomplishment for me. Yes, it’s work. But it is so much fun.
I truly enjoy sharing high-value, practical content with you each week. And yes, it is work. Few people commit to doing something completely outside their comfort zone, commit for an entire year, ride the ups and downs, AND follow through.
I know! I’m not excluded from the rarity of this. So, how will I celebrate this milestone?
This is the #1 question that always stumps the high achievers I work with. When they accomplish something significant I always ask “How will you celebrate?”
I often don’t get an answer. This is typically for two reasons. One reason is that some are still verbalizing their excitement about their accomplishment. They don’t truly hear the question or take it seriously, at first.
The second reason is that they don’t recognize the accomplishment for what it is. It’s easy to be too close to it to see it. It’s easy to get on with the next thing. It’s easier to celebrate others for their accomplishments. It’s not widely practiced to pause, recognize, and celebrate.
It’s so important. You guys. Your role is all about personal development. Celebrating your accomplishments, big or small, outward facing or something only you know about, is a big part of personal growth.
When you can pause and recognize
“Hey, this is growth, this is me responding differently, this is me handling a tough situation differently, this is me persevering, this is me having a tough conversation I would have typically shied away from, this is me exceeding my wildest dreams, this is me going completely out of my comfort zone, this is me finally following through…
this is all something to celebrate! Make a big deal out of it! Get every ounce of personal growth out of your hard work and own it for what it is you’re working toward.
Don’t dismiss it. Don’t disregard it. Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate you.
So, how will I celebrate the accomplishment of hitting one year with my podcast? I plan to take a few hours off to sit at the beach and simply enjoy some downtime.

The best is yet to come, friend. Always.
