Hey, welcome to episode 38! Today’s topic is all about the reasons why creating a vision board is so powerful! I have six reasons why this is a must for your Direct Sales Business results. They may surprise you!

It doesn’t matter what time of year you’re hearing this message. You can create a vision board anytime! And it doesn’t have to be at the beginning of the year in January. And it doesn’t even have to be a board. You can create a page, a document, a book, a poster, or a digital image. The point is to create something visual to capture your deepest desires.

Today I’m going to refer to whatever you may create, as a Vision Board. I would also urge you to create something that’s not digital. Most of these 6 reasons I’m sharing with you today come about because you’re in a creative process with your hands, bringing something to life from nothing.

A Vision Board Helps Direct Sales Leaders Achieve Results

The reason why creating a vision board is so impactful is more about the process of creating than the end result. Although this is powerful and important as well.

Reason number one creating a vision board is so impactful.

Creating A Vision Board Helps Direct Sales Leaders Boost Their Mood

It boosts your mood! The creative process of creating something from nothing boosts your mood. You’ll find that once you create a board, it’s almost never finished. Throughout the year, you’ll find images that capture exactly what you’re after and you’ll continue the creative process. Each time, you’re right, you get a mood boost!

Reason number two.

Creating A Vision Board Improves Self-Esteem For Direct Sales Leaders

The creative process of making your board improves your self-esteem. As we all know, this business is a roller coaster. It has its definite ups and downs. I like to think of the Vision Board creation process as an activity that layers and pads your self-esteem. When you create your board and each time you add to it, you get another dose of confidence in your abilities.

Reason number three.

Creating A Vision Board Helps Increases Self-Confidence For Direct Sales Leaders

There is an average 73% increase in self-confidence when engaged in the creative process. Who doesn’t want that!?! 73 percent!?! Self-confidence is about trusting in your abilities, and your qualities, and trusting your judgment!

This is what I hear so often from Direct Sales Leaders. They want to feel more confident in their leadership skills! Oh, they are confident people, yet they want to build confidence in their leadership skills. Is this you too?! You’re not alone. Not by any stretch. Don’t let the self-talk that other leaders have it all figured out. That they don’t struggle with confidence when it comes to skills in leading their team.

Reason number four.

Creating A Vision Board Increases Well-Being for Direct Sales Leaders

Increase your cognitive function and mental well-being. Cognitive function is basically anything you use your brain for. More specifically, decision making, reasoning, and problem-solving. The well-being of course is your overall health and happiness. The creative process of making your Vision Board helps increase your cognitive function and mental well-being.

Reason number five.

Creating A Vision Board Helps Direct Sales Leaders Alleviate Stress And Anxiety

Alleviate stress and anxiety. During the creative process of helping your vision and inspiration for your deepest desires to manifest your stress and anxiety plummet. It’s an activity that you can lose yourself in.

Remember the last time you found yourself in an activity where you completely lost track of time, you were likely doing something creative. This is the same! Enjoy the decrease in stress and anxiety when creating your vision board and each time you look at it.

Our final reason to create your vision board, is number 6.

Creating A Vision Board Helps Direct Sales Leaders Be More Present

It helps you be in the present moment and forget your worries. Yes, please. I can’t remember the last time I started working with a leader that didn’t express she wanted to be more present. More present with her kids. More present at home. More present when working within her business. Just more present all throughout her day.

What a blissful feeling that is. And it is achievable. Don’t be fooled it’s not attainable. Creating your vision board and each time you look at your creation helps draw you into the present and forget your worries.

It may come as a surprise to you that the reasons behind creating a vision board are more in the creative process itself than the outcome. Yet the outcome is incredibly powerful as well.

It’s why most of us create a vision board. To see our inspiration for our deepest desires come to life. To have a visual behind why we’re after what we’re after. And this is critical.

I hope your reasons for creating a vision board are 6 fold deeper now. And if you’ve already created a vision board, bravo! Feel validated and also surprised by all the reasons it’s that much more powerful than maybe you knew before you created yours.

Are you feeling inspired!? My hope is that you’ll embrace the many reasons it’s impactful to create a vision board and to keep creating!
