Hey savvy, high-achieving leaders!  This is episode 100 of the Crazy Big Dreams Podcast!

Can you believe it?! I’m a little taken aback. When I started episode number 1, I wasn’t even thinking about episode 100 or episode 50 for that matter.

So today I thought I would reflect on what I’ve learned over the past 100 episodes. I think you might be able to relate pretty well to some of my lessons learned.

Let’s do this together!

You Can’t Predict Success As A Direct Sales Leader

Lesson 1 of 5:

No predicting! There was absolutely no predicting, with any accuracy, which episodes would be popular. I am always so surprised at which ones get the most downloads. And to that end, I get a little stumped at why some episodes that I think will be so popular, aren’t as popular as others. I’m like, what?! This is such good info! Like, I can’t believe it hasn’t gotten more downloads yet. So funny!

And I would imagine you can relate very much because you can never ever predict who will be interested in the amazing business opportunity you have to offer.

And just the same, those you know would be amazing at it and are not interested. Just like my high-value content episodes, I’m like, why isn’t THIS one the most popular? I’m sure you’re like “I can’t believe she doesn’t want to do this?! She would be great!”

Craving Connection As A High-Achiever In Direct Sales

Ok Lesson 2 of 5:

Craving Connection. I have learned over 100 episodes, eventually, that I’ve been craving connection! When I started this Crazy Big Dreams podcast it was a big learning curve. It wasn’t on my radar to do a podcast. I was encouraged and eventually thought, why not?

So at the beginning, I was busy learning the ropes and getting traction and so excited to be sharing what I feel is high-value content with you all.

And then, I was like, I wish we could interact. I wish I knew what you were thinking right now. Like, even in this very moment. Every episode I do I wish so much that it could be a conversation. I wish I could take questions at the end. I wish I could create more engagement. Somehow.

I learned over time that I craved connection. What about you? Can you relate to that? I know you’ve made some amazing friends along your Direct Sales Business journey. What if that all went away? Everything would be so different, right? You stay because you get to work with the most amazing people!

I presume you would work really hard to create new connections. And then there’s the sustainable success factor for you, right? You have to create connections and new connections to keep sustainable success in your business.

The Unique Gift Of Consistency In Your Direct Sales Business

On to Lesson #3:

Consistency. I surprised myself with the creativity I came up with to be consistent with this weekly podcast for 100 episodes! Totally surprised myself. And full honesty, I did not have any idea the effort and rhythm it was going to require to do something every week for 100 weeks!

When I started this podcast our little one was 4 years old and I was pregnant with our second baby. I was admitted to the hospital early at 33 weeks. He was born at 33 weeks and spent that first month in the NICU. Then we brought him home. Praise that all is well and that we’re both healthy.

But hello!? I did not think for one second, “Oh maybe I shouldn’t embark on this, this foreign thing to me, because I’m expecting a baby. And I have a 4-year-old at home. And a husband who is navigating a crisis at work requiring him to work all hours for months on end.” No. I didn’t.

And it all sounds a bit crazy to me now. Like, what was I thinking? And yet here I am. The things I have done, the mountains I have moved, the opportunity of quiet I have created to record these episodes. I mean, I’m just going to say it. I’m proud of myself. I share more on all of this in Episode 80. You can listen here at crazybigdreams.biz/80.

And I know you are where you are in your success as a high-achieving leader because you have been consistent. Period. And consistency means you did not quit. Period.

And you too have gone to great lengths to create the success that you have and created uncommon scenarios so you could fit your business in. And I’m here to say, Bravo! Feel proud of yourself.

Keep An Open Mind & Heart As A Direct Sales Leader

Lesson number 4:

Stay Open. I’ve learned that because I stayed open to ideas I did not come up with, (this podcast) my world and my business, and my personal growth and professional enjoyment have surpassed what I could have anticipated.

I stayed open to doing whatever it took to turn my crazy big dream into reality, I stayed open to getting it wrong. Many times. I stayed open to figuring it out. I stayed open to learning new things. I stayed open to putting myself out there.

It feels risky when you do something you have no clue about and you have no idea how it’s going to turn out. It feels vulnerable to do something you’ve never done before. I stayed open to pursuing your crazy big dream even when you’re not sure if anyone is out there even paying attention or listening.

I think you can relate to all of that! Am I right?!

The Importance Of Celebrating YOU As A Direct Sales Leader

And finally lesson # 5

Celebrate yourself. I’ve learned that it’s vitally important to celebrate yourself and your accomplishments. No one is going to know sometimes about the more personal, private goals you have for yourself and your business. I would argue, share it. Share it all. But still, there will be some deeply personal milestones you want to hit.

It will be important for you to acknowledge them. To celebrate yourself. Celebrate your accomplishments. Most importantly, celebrate what you did and what you had to sacrifice to get there.

Here I am at episode 100 celebrating myself! And this accomplishment. And I could have just brushed over it. I could have made a brief mention – hey crazy, episode 100 – right?!

But no, I wanted to reflect. I wanted to celebrate what I’ve learned. How hard I’ve worked. And I knew you would be able to relate to the lessons I’ve learned. So, I pulled you into my celebration. And I’m so happy you were here for this. I hope you’ll stick around for the next 100 episodes!

Until next time, remember,

You can’t predict the success.

Keep connecting!
