Hey savvy leaders! Welcome to episode 31.

There is an area of personal development most Direct Sales leaders have been missing out on. Most women I work with haven’t yet connected the dots on this opportunity. I know you recognize the significant personal development journey you’ve been on. It happened organically as you built your business.

The person that you were before you said yes to your business opportunity is not someone you maybe recognize today.

To succeed at building your business you have to grow personally. What a gift!

Episode 30 was dedicated to giving you permission to celebrate your personal business wins. If you haven’t yet soaked in that episode I invite you to click back to it after this one. These two episode topics are directly linked.

When we dismiss our personal wins we’re missing out on critical opportunities along the personal development journey. More specifically – the leadership development journey.

When personal wins are celebrated self-confidence boosts! When you celebrate your wins in business and as a mentor, you build your leadership confidence. Confidence in your leadership means you trust your abilities and qualities as a leader.

All women I work with express the desire to build their confidence as a leader. This may ring better for some of you as not doubting yourself as a leader. How you go about mentoring, training, developing your team, and making decisions. An increase in confidence is a decrease in self-doubt.

When you experience a boost in confidence as a leader, this, in turn, gives the motivation to achieve more. I know you’ve experienced this. But have you truly tapped into its power? And connected all of these dots?

Let’s say you have an emerging leader, a self-starter, yet someone you get really excited about mentoring and building, and everything’s clicking. It’s a boost for you, for your team, and for her downline.

You get an energy kick when you talk and connect with her. It leaves you feeling inspired to connect with the next person, do the next thing, get out there and make something happen. The energy is contagious in a positive way.

The big difference here I see leaders missing out on is this. Pausing to recognize what you did well from the beginning with this emerging leader. I’ve always said we can not take too much responsibility for someone’s success or failure. Yet you’re her mentor. Her leader. And you have a relationship. So, acknowledging that you have a role in this is important.

More so, pausing to recognize and drill in on what worked to get the wins with her. Not her wins. You’re looking at your wins as a leader and mentor.

Maybe these are even things that you did not do. These can also be wins. Maybe you let her lead the pace this time. Maybe you focused more on actions leading to results vs getting bogged down in training. Maybe you implemented the new system you’ve worked hard on recently. Cement the lessons learned as you celebrate the wins.

In turn, you attract more positive energy into your life and business.

All of this communicates you’re unstoppable.

Your takeaway: Don’t miss the important step of pausing to recognize YOUR win. And celebrate it!

Let me quickly bring all of this together for you with a visualization. I want you to picture a circle. In the center  is “Celebrate the Win”. This is the hub and what gets the circle moving. Without the hub, the circle won’t be in motion.

Around the circle you have these key spokes.

Cement Lessons Learned (what worked to get the win?)

Boost Leadership Confidence

Motivation to Achieve More

Take the Next Step to Move Your Business Forward

Attract More Positive Energy into your Life and Business

Communicate to All You are Unstoppable

Do you see how all of this ties together? One leads to the next. It compounds. Imagine if you were to pause and drill in on what worked to get the wins on a weekly basis! Can you feel how the momentum would build?!

If you’re not celebrating your wins, you’re not alone. But you’re also missing out on bringing all of this together. It’s a simple strategy to implement, yet most get uncomfortable pausing to recognize what worked to get the win. Or we’re just so used to go go go. We’re doers. We’re already on to the next.

Pause. Celebrate the win. And fully reap all of the benefits in boosting your leadership confidence.

As you celebrate more and more of your wins you’ll feel more and more ready for whatever lies ahead. After all, you’ll have a boost in your leadership abilities and qualities and how you see yourself as a leader.
