You’re likely pretty in touch with your intuition at this point in your success journey. At least, you can recognize when you’ve listened to it and when you haven’t. Right? We all have those experiences that truly stick out. 

The ones where we tell ourselves “I knew I should have trusted my intuition!” It’s so much easier to look back and recognize this. 

Being truly connected to your intuition and being able to recognize it and then act on it is like a muscle. We have to exercise it to trust it and get really good at it. 

The Difference Between Intuition and Heart Magnet for Direct Sales Leaders

Today we’re talking about a different strategy. Your Heart Magnet. Although similar to your intuition it has a different key element to it that sets it apart.

This key element is physiological. It’s something physical you feel in your body, or how your body responds that you notice. 

Like a magnet, there are tasks, people, events, experiences, items in your visual space, and rooms in your home that you are either drawn to or repelled by. Like a magnet. 

Some tasks with your Direct Sales business you are absolutely drawn to. You look forward to. You love. 

There are also people in your business that you are drawn to like a magnet. There are events and experiences that just pull you in. Your office space also has some items that you love to look at that draw you in. 

When you look at these items, spend time with these people, and experience the things that draw you in, there is a feeling that you have. You sense something different. Your body lets you know this. 

You have to identify what that is for you. Some common examples include it may bring a smile to your face. Your shoulders relax down away from your ears. You feel light, energetic, and uplifted. 

It’s really important to identify for yourself how your body responds. It could be something completely different than these examples but there is a physical indication. 

What Direct Sales Leaders Don’t Enjoy About Their Business

The opposite, like a magnet, you’re also repelled by certain tasks, events, experiences, items in your visual space, a room in your home, and people. Most of us have that room or closet that we just need to turn around and shut the door! 

You feel it inside you. Your body has a physical indicator that lets you know you’re repelled, turned off, and truly feeling an unpleasant feeling. 

Maybe your shoulders draw up toward your ears. Maybe you feel tense. Where you do feel the tension? Is there tightness somewhere in your body?  Does your heart race? Do you feel your blood pressure increase? 

Again, these are just some examples of a physical response that your body is letting you know you’re repelled by something. It’s a feeling and your body will let you know accordingly. 

Both what you’re drawn to and what repels you are equally strong in opposite ways. 

Savvy Direct Sales Leaders don’t stop with their intuition. They go a level deeper with their heart magnet. 

They truly know the physical signs that tell them they are drawn to something or someone and they know the physical signs that tell them they are repelled by something. 

The Cost Of Not Using Your Intuition As A Direct Sales Leader

The importance of using this tool is that it’s like a muscle. When we don’t listen to these cues and pay attention, we lose our ability to make confident choices. 

We don’t trust ourselves. We question how we’re spending our time. We question how we’re leading our team. 

We have this nagging doubt that holds us back. It pulls at us and we wonder if we’re leading our team in ways that truly help them grow their business. 

We wonder if we could be doing more. We question if we should be doing things differently. This is all incredibly common. It’s like it comes with more success. Know that you’re not alone in this. 

Growing Your Confidence As A Direct Sales Leader

Also know that when you exercise your heart magnet and practice, it’s noticeably stronger. The doubts fade away. Confidence expands. Questioning your efforts and your leadership falls away. 

In the process, with practice, you make room for assurance. You trust yourself as a leader on a new level. 

I’m here to invite you to get to know your heart magnet. To use it. To identify not only what you’re drawn to and what you’re repelled by, but to identify the physical indicators that solidify what repels you and what you’re drawn to. 

This is something I work closely on with all of my savvy leader clients. It’s remarkable to witness the shift that happens when this work happens. You may be wondering how long it takes to see a difference. 

It depends on how long it’s been since someone has listened to these types of indicators. It depends on the impact situations and people have had when this wasn’t listened to or used. Right. It depends on how and when and how many times we’ve ignored the signs. 

Like a muscle. When it’s not used, it gets soft. It’s not as strong or as developed. It’s not serving you as it could. But it’s still there! 

What’s refreshing is that your heart magnet is an easy tool to learn. It can also be implemented immediately. You have access to this and you can apply it to your leadership style and your life today.
