Hi leaders! Welcome to episode 63! Leadership.

Today we’re talking about where to direct your focus as you develop as a leader. And also what not to focus on.

You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/63.

Leadership is kind of a big word with a lot to it. It can mean different things to different people.

Sure there are some common traits most would agree on about leadership. Like willingness to listen and really hear your people. Integrity. And being trustworthy just to name a few.

When team members have ideas about what makes a good leader, these ideas typically originate from a place of need. What that individual feels she needs from you in order to see success.

The problem with this is these needs can be quite different from one team member to another.

Where To Focus As A Leader In Direct Sales

The better approach is to guide your focus on what your business needs. This way, you can approach being the best leader you were meant to grow and develop into as only you can.

And you know what, your team members will, of course, get what they need to be successful.

There is no one else like you. And the leader you are meant to become is based on your innate strengths.

I know it sounds cliché to tell you there is no one else like you. But I share it because most leaders I work with benefit from the reminder.

What Sets You Apart As A Savvy Direct Sales Leader

Both your success journey in business and your life experiences. The challenges you’ve met. The hardships you’ve endured. The trauma you’ve experienced. As well as the milestones you’ve accomplished. The success you’ve worked so hard for. The amazing trips you’ve taken.

Everything you’ve experienced comes together in this unique and beautiful offering that only you can give. And this all weaves together with your strengths to create the one and only unique leadership experience that you are meant to share with your team.

While growing into the leader you’re becoming it’s effective to focus more on what your business needs than what each individual team member needs. I’m not suggesting to discredit their needs.

I’m offering that when you focus on what the business needs, you’ll have forward movement and growth into the leader you need to become to then meet the needs of your team. But start with what your business needs. And the rest will fall into place.

How Direct Sales Leaders Lead Their Team To Success

Your team will get just what they need from you and then some when you start with a visionary focus and unite everyone in the same direction.

With a focus on what your business needs first, you’ll pave forward momentum along your success journey. What an important example to be to your team. It shows them they can do the same thing for the same reasons.

They will each need to be their own visionary in their own way with their own strengths for their own team. And by you leading the way with this, it helps guide each of your leaders and show them how it’s done.

The key is to remember no one can lead with your unique vision and strengths. What a beautiful message each of your emerging leaders can witness from you and take to heart as she paves her own path to success.

I hope you’ll click over to Instagram @yourcrazybigdreams and let me know one life or business experience that came to you when listening today. It’s sure to shape you as a leader.

The best is yet to come. Always.
