Hey savvy leaders! Welcome to episode 37.

It’s time to dust off your vision board! Ok, you may have created a digital one. Same thing. It’s time to revisit it! You might call it a Future Board, a Goal Poster or something else. Whatever you call it, it’s time to get it front and center again. Today, I’m going to refer to it as a Vision Board.

Hold on, if you haven’t yet created a vision board. You’ll want to tune into episode 38 when it airs for all the fresh reasons why this is a must for results.

In the meantime, stay right here. You can also grab a listen to episode 36 “Discover Your Crazy Big Dreams as a High Achiever in Direct Sales.” It will help you get in the right headspace before creating your vision board.

Episode 37 today is all about revisiting the Vision Board you have created!

I have hosted several Vision Board workshops, both in-person and virtually. I absolutely love these! Most of my reasons why are in episode 38.

A Vision Board for Your Direct Sales Business Inspiration

I want to encourage you to revisit what you’ve spent the time and maybe money to create. It’s not too late. What you once created is still relevant and inspiring!

And really important, if you started one, but didn’t happen to finish it, let this be your friendly nudge to keep creating.

If you’ve completed one or not, it’s certainly not uncommon to have gotten away from keeping your creation front and center. If you created something digitally, I want you to pull it up and do two things.

One: Save it as your desktop screen saver on your computer and your phone. It’s ok if you can’t size it on your phone to see the whole thing. The point is to have a reminder. Think about how many times you pick up your phone in a day. When you see it on your screen it will elicit the visuals that you created when you put it together.

Two: Print it. Print what you created digitally. Print multiple copies if you need to. Put them up where you will see them. On a mirror, in your closet, on your fridge, in your car. You get the point. It’s so important to have this front and center.

Ok, for those of you who created a tangible Vision Board, a vision book, a poster, or anything non-digital, I want you to do two things.

One: Find it. Dust it off. Put it where you’ll see it every day.

Two: Take a picture of it. Save it as your desktop screen saver on your computer and on your phone.

Personally, I create mine on poster board. I like the hands-on creative process. I also like this option because I can hang it up and move it around my house when I choose. I work from home and it’s where I spend most of my time.

I also like moving the furniture around in my home office to get new inspiration so I move my Vision Boards where I can see them in my new layout.

When placing it on the wall, I put something like a command hook upside down and use the hooks as a shelf. So easy!

I also happen to have two smaller boards currently. They’re easier to position and put in different site lines vs having one giant board. But I’ve created those in the past as well.

The key is to be creative and do what works for you.

Why Your Direct Sales Business Vision Board Needs to Be Visual

The importance of dusting off what you’ve created and bringing it where you will see it multiple times every day is so you stay on track and stay excited. You’ll maintain focus.

It will be so much easier to make decisions and choices when you’re continuously reminded of why you’re after what you’re after.

It helps you keep what’s important to you in clear focus. It helps guide your thoughts.

There is a quote by an ancient philosopher I love that sums all of this up. It goes like this…

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.” Lao Tzu
